Payroll Giving Month happens once a year when charities, Payroll Giving Agencies, Professional Funding Organisations and Corporate Organisations all come together to raise awareness of Payroll Giving.
In late 2020, an increasing awareness of how impactful Payroll giving is and the lack of visibility in comparison to other areas of fundraising led to the creation of Payroll Giving Week in 2021.
Due to the huge success of this in 2021, it quickly evolved into Payroll Giving Month in 2022.
Payroll Giving Month is in February 2024 so there is still time to get involved in promoting Payroll Giving in your workplace.
Many employers will already have a scheme in place with a Payroll Giving Agency who facilitate the transition of funds from your wages to your nominated charity’s bank account.
If they don’t already have one in place, setting one up is quick, easy and FREE for employers.
You can find a list of all approved agencies on the Gov.UK website.
Employers can then enlist the services of a Professional Fundraising Organisation such as us here at StC, to help you promote the scheme to employees. This can be done in a variety of ways including Webinars, site visits from our Fundraising Team or a combination of both!!
If you have any questions about Payroll Giving or setting up a scheme please contact us or visit the Payroll Giving Month website to find out more.
