The very first official Payroll Giving Week was held 8th – 14th February.
Members of the APGO supported the scheme with a range of matched donations. Charities highlighted the week with a plethora of social media posts.
Employers were encouraged to celebrate and promote the scheme to employees during the week.
StC Payroll Giving incorporated Payroll Giving Week into their February matched donation incentive of up to £10 per donation to a charity partner and raised an incredible £12896 ( annual) for a range of UK registered charities during the week.
The Payroll Giving scheme, established in 1987 has raised around £2billion with donations supporting thousands of UK registered charities. It has been an absolute lifeline for many charities struggling to survive during the current pandemic. With over 1 million employees donating to their chosen charities each payday it is the most tax effective and secure way to donate.
