It is nearly that time of year again when we ask our Employer partners to update their details so we can assist them achieve their well-deserved Payroll Giving Quality Mark.
Employers receive a Payroll Giving Quality Mark (PGQM), a government-supported accreditation which recognises and rewards organisations of all sizes for making Payroll Giving available to their employees.
PGQMs are allocated by an employers contracted Pay Agent: Charities Aid Foundation, Charitable Giving or Charities Trust.
There are six levels of Quality Mark – standard, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and introduced in 2017 / 2018, Diamond. Each level recognises a certain minimum employee participation rate. Holders of a Quality Mark will receive a certificate and a logo to use on company materials.
In 2022 we can share those 1,659 employers achieved the Bronze standard, 609 Silver standard, 357 Gold standard, 118 Platinum standard and an amazing 155 Diamond standard – the highest level and one which StC have maintained.
The criteria for achieving a Payroll Giving Quality Mark as agreed by the Association of Payroll Giving Organisations (AGPO) are:
Standard – any employee participation
Bronze – at least 1% of employees participating overall
Silver – at least 5% of employees participating overall
Gold – at least 10% of employees participating overall
Platinum – at least 20% of employees participating overall
Diamond – at least 30% of employees participating overall and fulfilled at least one of these criteria:
- paid the Payroll Giving Agency admin fee on behalf of employees
- match funded employee donations (in any form)
- carried out an active promotion
