Battersea Dogs and Cats Home

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home was founded in 1860, and since then, have rehomed over 3.2 million cats and dogs who, without them, might have had nowhere else to turn. Their aim is to be here for every dog and cat who needs them. They operate with a non-selective intake policy and care for cats and dogs until loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes.

Battersea has three centres which, on average, take in around 100 animals a week, all in need of loving homes and often vital veterinary care. It costs around £53,000 every day to care for the cats and dogs at these centres and they receive no government funding, meaning they rely on the generosity of supporters to continue their life-changing and often life-saving work. Beyond their three centres they share knowledge, provide training and grant funding to animal rescue partners around the world, offer online pet advice and training to anyone who needs it, and campaign to improve the lives of dogs, cats and their owners.

They believe that every dog and cat deserves a chance at happiness, so are all in for them, are you?
